You have to be willing to work for free, at least for a colpue of events. Also, ask to help plan a friend's wedding for free. Then document everything you do pricing, organization, whatever. Take pictures too. This is how you start building a portfolio and resume in order to get a real job in the future. Every time you meet someone who sells anything even remotely related to weddings, get their business card and stay in touch this means flowers, dj services, dresses, rental property, you name it.It would also help to get a degree in business and/or design, etc. as well.
